I am Luke Kerstetter, a current student at Penn State University majoring in Agricultural and Extension Education. I am on the path to graduate May of 2020 and be certified to teach ag. I started my college journey at Penn State Altoona, and I had the chance to transfer to Penn State University Park a semester early. I have enjoyed my time at both campuses, but I am really excited to get out to a high school to student teach.
Throughout high school, I was involved in my local FFA chapter even becoming a State FFA Officer in 2015-2016. Through these experiences, I had found my passion for educating the future generations about agricultural science and mechanics. I want to be a positive agent in changing student perspective on the field of agriculture as well as a mentor for those who need a role model in their life. I am excited to become an Agricultural Educator and FFA Advisor!
To wrap it all up, I would like to share a few hobbies that I enjoy when I have free time! I try my best to get out to the forest to hunt as much as I can but that's not the only thing I enjoy outdoors. I like to photograph nature scenes especially when it snows. Lastly, I enjoy spending time with my fiance and our puppy Quill.
Thank you for taking time out of your day to read my blog, and I hope you gained some insight to who I am!
